Weekend obsessions

I have recently been loving an idea that I saw from a blogger that I am obsessed with. She started sharing weekly blog posts that simply include things she is loving and the links so that her followers can find them. I love this idea not only so that I can share the things I am loving, but also as a way for me to record what I am loving currently so that I can look back on it in 20 years and show my kids lol. I also always appreciate when people that I look up to for inspiration share what they are raving over, because it gives me inspiration and even helps me to find new things that I might love.

So, without further ado, here are my weekend links:

  • This song — I have been playing this as loud as I can in my car and on my runs. It has become my anthem in this season of my life.

  • Having a gel manicure frequently — something about having my nails done all the time makes me feel so put together and cute, no matter how ratchet I really look. I always say “I work much better when my nails looks good,” and now that I am typing it up I ams seriously cringing. #honestyalways

  • This paper company — shameless plug since it’s one of my best friend’s companies, but even if I never knew her I would still be a frequent shopper. I give Paper Eliza prints to friends for their birthdays and it you have ever received a hand written letter from me, it’s on her stationary.

  • PJ Harlow Pajamas — These are silk PJs that have literally changed my entire sleep…just kidding, but they are by far my favorite PJ’s for comfort. They are not as cute as Lake Pajamas, but they definitely feel the best.

  • This foundation — I am always hunting for a foundation that won’t break me out, but that still looks natural and doesn’t make me feel like a clown. I am still trying this brand but so far it has very high ratings from me.

  • This sale — J.CREW is not always my top choice for shopping but recently I have been obsessing. I bought this dress and this skirt last week. There is always some sort of sale going on.

  • Audrey Hepburn movies — my roommate, Liza, recently introduced me to this life changing category of movies. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE? I do not know how on earth I am just now watching Sabrina but holy smokes I am excited she showed me. I have a list of movies for the summer now.

  • This devotional — i have a hard time reading devotions that are for specifi days, and so this one is a favorite because it does not have dates. I just read whatever I haven’t read yet. I LOVE this.

  • These sandals — I am THRILLED to be joining my boyfriend and his family on a trip to England this summer, and I am taking these with me. I have a serious problem when it comes to traveling because I want to look SO cute when I am on a trip as cool as this, but I NEED to be comfortable. One time I walked 15 miles in Florence in Birkenstocks and I DO NO recommend it. I am thrilled to have found these. They feel like tevas but the real leather totally takes them from comfy to cute and I can wear them all day with dresses and skirts.

  • This instagram — I do not know Maggie, but I have been obsessed with her instagram for a while now. She is an incredible photographer and her work is constantly unique. She lives in Charleston and that alone makes me love her lifestyle instagram fun to follow.

  • This blogger — the one who gave me this idea, actually. I do not know her either, but I am obsessed with her little, Penny.

  • This wedding video — You might not know this about me, but I have a running document of my favorite wedding videos to watch. I cry at all of them, and again, I have never met these people. Are you noticing a trend?…

  • Summer lists — I am always making some sort of list, this being one of them, and currently I have lists running for date ideas with Mason for the summer, Recipes I want to try this summer, movies I want to watch, books I want to read, and people I want to see.

  • And a personal non-link, I am currently very thankful for the weather in Birmingham that has made photography much more fun.

Well, there you have it! If you liked this post, let me know and I will be good about writing one consistently.

Cheers to lists and a fun week ahead!

xx
